Caridad Spring Fest

Caridad, Inc. is a local non-profit organization, whose mission is to empower single mothers to achieve self-sufficiency, by providing the necessary tools and support. This non-profit has been in existence since 2002 and its staff and board members are all volunteers that live locally. In order to make a difference in the lives of these women that reside in New Hanover and Brunswick counties, we must rely on the support of generous individuals and businesses in our community.

I am writing to you today regarding a fantastic opportunity for you to help these single moms. Caridad will be hosting our 5th annual Spring Festival fundraiser event at the Shuckin’ Shack Oyster Bar located in Brunswick Forest on Saturday, April 26th, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Please see the festival flyer attached below.

We are asking for your support for this event by advertising this event in the events calendar of Leland Magazine. Could you please let me know if this is possible and if so, if there is anything you need from us to do this?

In 2024 forty six single-mom families, with the help of Caridad, became self-sufficient.  They are now employed, have stable homes, and some are even attending school full time. We were only able to help these families through the generosity of our community and volunteers, who were able to raise close to $61,000 between our Spring and Fall fundraisers and grants that were awarded to Caridad .

This year our overall goal is to raise $90,000 to be able to assist ten additional moms and their children. Caridad’s volunteers cannot do this alone. We thank you for your time and consideration and hope you can find it in your heart to support this very worthy cause.  We need your help and together we can make it happen!
